4D NEON ACRYLIC NUMBER PLATES

4D neon acrylic number plates are 4 dimensional. However, you may be wondering what makes a plate 4D. 4D number plates are those whose characters are bonded onto the acrylic number plate using industry standard 3M adhesive. The characters are 3mm thick on the plate which is commonly made of plastic and is the standard size of a UK plate. You can add a variety of different colours to fit underneath which we call 4D Neon or 4D Krystal. You can choose from Neon Green, Blue and Red.

Are 4D Neon Acrylic Number Plates Legal?

The DVLA has deemed 4D Neon acrylic number plates design as road legal if they conform to the government regulations. These rules are designed to ensure the plates are easy to read by authorities and other motorists during both day and night.

Providing they conform to the rules regulating UK number plates, 4D plates are entirely legal to use on your car. For example, the acrylic characters must be presented in black on a white plate at the front of your vehicle and black on a yellow plate at the rear, both manufactured from reflective material. The characters must also follow the rules that dictate the measurements of letters and numbers, as well as the margins surrounding them.

The appearance and intensity of the letters on this style of plate are anything but static. The translucent coloured acrylic allows the light to pass through illuminating the registration and giving off an eerie colourful hue.

These Number Plates feature 3mm thick translucent coloured acrylic letters bonded to the jet black fron acrylic the both bonded to the reflective plate. They are glued using very high bond 3M adhesive and are UV light resistant therefor will not fade.
